WHY WE SERVE: FEATURING SCRIPTURES ON SERVING

  1. Open the evening with a talk about why we serve as part of our faith.
  2. Hand out copies of selections from World Scripture about Serving Others:
    • http://www.unification.net/ws/theme138.htm
    • You can also use other secular quotes from the internet
  3. Ask the youth to pick one quote that explains why they feel serving others is good.
  4. Give time for the youth to write their quote on a piece of paper and design it with markers, colored pencils etc. so they can keep it somewhere in their room as a reminder of why we should serve
  5. Discuss in groups:
    • What about this quote resonates with you?
    • How do you try to practice this in your daily life?
