Lesson Outline
1. Review Jesus’ 1st and 2nd Courses
2. Explain Jesus’ 3rd Course
3. Activities – worksheet, memory game
4. Review the Main Points
5. Prayer

1) Review Jesus’ 1st and 2nd Courses

The 1st course failed because of John the Baptist faithlessness
The 2nd failed because of the chosen people’s faithlessness

2) Explain Jesus’ 3rd Course
1) God allowed Satan to crucify Jesus, to indemnify the people’s failure to believe and as condition to save all mankind. Since Satan used his power to kill Jesus, God used His power to resurrect Jesus.
2) As the resurrected Jesus, he was the central person to lay the F/F.
3)He did this by appearing before his disciples for 40 days.
4) Next he needed to make a F/S. His disciples (Cain), had to unite with Jesus(Abel) This time they believed in him completely and were ready to follow him. With this successful foundation, Jesus could move to the position of the spiritual Messiah By believing in Jesus all people could be saved spiritually. He opened a place in spirit world free from Satan.
5) But this is not enough. Because Satan took Jesus physical body, it means our physical body is not free from Satan’s influence.
6) A new Messiah must come who can defeat Satan and restore mankind both spiritually and physically.
Begin explaining the third course by asking questions. Use the points below from the children’s worksheet to explain the 3rd course

1. Why did God allow Satan to crucify Jesus?
God allowed Satan to crucify Jesus, in order to (1) indemnify the people’s failure to believe him
(2) and as a condition to save all mankind. Since Satan used his power to kill Jesus, God used His power to resurrect Jesus

2. In order to start the third course, a F/F has to be made. Who is going to do that?
The resurrected Jesus. Jesus no longer has a physical body. This time the resurrected spirit of Jesus must take the position of John the Baptist and make a foundation of faith

3. What offering did Jesus make?
He appeared before his disciples for 40 days.
Use the chart to show this and read the bible passages to explain in detail.
Foundation of Faith Foundation of Substance

1)Central Person: Resurrected Jesus

2)Offering: Appearing to disciples

3)Time: 40 days

Examples of Jesus appearing to his disciples
1) Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene (Jn 20:14).
2) He suddenly appeared before two disciples on their way to Emmaus (Lk 24:15,16).
3) He suddenly appeared in a closed room where his disciples were gathered (Jn 20:19);
4) He appeared at the sea coast of Tiberia (Jn 21:1-4);

4. How did Jesus make the F/S
His disciples in the position of Cain, had to unite with Jesus in the position of Abel
Foundation of Faith Foundation of Substance
1)Central Person: Resurrected Jesus
2)Offering: Appearing to disciples
3)Time: 40 days

1)Abel position: Resurrected Jesus
2)Cain position: Disciples
3) Condition: Unite with Jesus

Examples of how Jesus tried to get his disciples to unite with him
* Jesus appeared repeatedly before his disciples and taught them to have absolute faith in him as the Messiah.
* He interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Lk 24:27)
* He told the disciples to make disciples of all nations.
Jesus said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” (Mt 28:18-20)

* He told the disciples that they could baptize people with the Holy Spirit .
He said, “You heard from me, for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1:4,5)
* He instilled faith in the faithless Thomas (Jn 20:24-29)
* He made Peter pledge absolute loyalty to him (Jn 21:15-18)
* Jesus performed many miracles (e.g., Jn 20:19; 21:6)
* And he taught his disciples to be the roots of the new Israel.

5. What was the result?
This time they believed in him completely and were ready to follow, unlike the old way in which they had only weakly believed in him. They were able to finally establish the spiritual Foundation of Substance.

6. What position was Jesus in now?
With this successful foundation, Jesus could move to the position of the spiritual Messiah.

7. What benefit could believers in Jesus receive?
By believing in Jesus all people could be saved spiritually. He opened a place in spirit world free from Satan.

8. Why is spiritual salvation not enough?
Because Satan took Jesus physical body, it means our physical body is not free from Satan’s influence.
We also need physical salvation

9. What is needed to give full spiritual and physical salvation?
A new Messiah must come who can defeat Satan and restore mankind both spiritually and physically.

3) Activities
* Worksheet
God allowed Satan to crucify Jesus, as condition to save all mankind. Since Satan used his power to kill Jesus, God used His power to resurrect Jesus. For forty days he appeared to his disciples. This time they believed in him completely and were ready to follow him. The foundation of faith and substance were successfully made. Then Jesus could stand as the spiritual Messiah. By believing in Jesus all people could be saved spiritually. He opened a place in spirit world free from Satan. But this is not enough. Because Satan took Jesus physical body, it means our physical body is not free from Satan’s influence. A new Messiah must come who can defeat Satan and restore mankind both spiritually and physically.

* Word cards
– Play the memory game
– Ask questions to test knowledge about Jesus. E.g. Name the four times Jesus spirit appeared.

4) Review the Main Points
a) to learn how the third course was successfully made
F/F- Central Person: Resurrected Jesus — Offering: Appearing to disciples — Time: 40 days
F/S – Abel position: Resurrected Jesus — Cain position: Disciples (the 2nd Israel)
b) to understand the difference between physical and spiritual salvation
Spiritual salvation is given to anyone who truly believes in Jesus and unites with him. It means that Jesus established a place in spirit world that is free from Satan’s invasion or attack. All  believers can be in such a place with Jesus. Physical salvation means that the physical body of believers is also free from Satan’s attack.

c)To understand why a new Messiah is needed
Jesus only gave spiritual salvation. Because Jesus’ physical body was taken by Satan, even saints who believe in Jesus and become one with him cannot avoid satanic invasion of their physical bodies. They have to pray constantly and their children still have original sin. A new Messiah is needed to give full salvation, so all mankind can be in God’s direct lineage (through the blessing) and have the original sin removed.

5) End with a Prayer
