PRAYER MOSAIC

  1. Prepare several squares of construction paper. Include several different colors of paper as well.
  2. Explain that each color denotes a particular prayer thought:
    1. Green: I am grateful for…
    2. Blue: People I want to support more….
    3. Yellow: People who support me in times of need…
    4. Orange: I am inspired by….
    5. Red: What I love most about my life…
    6. Purple: A big picture cause I care about…
  3. Encourage the youth to write or draw something on their square that represents their prayer on the appropriate colored paper.
  4. When they are finished with their prayer, have the youth add their squares to a big board in the front (using glue dots).
  5. As they add their prayers, allow time for prayer and reflection as people read and look at the prayer mosaic.
