COMMON BASE
A fun way to get to know new things about each other
- Have the group mingle around for a few minutes and then call “find a new friend.” The youth should all pair up with someone new (encourage them to pair up with new people!).
- Let the pairs get to know each other with the goal of finding 3 unique things that they have in common. When the pair has found 3 things in common they should sit down to indicate they’ve completed the task.
- The more unique the better. It’s best to try to stay away from things like “i’m a girl…. I go to school… etc.” This is a chance to get to know new things about each other.
- If some pairs are having a hard time, some of the pairs that are sitting down near them can help them come up with new ideas.
